Day 1: Transfer from Arusha airport to hotel in Dar-es-salaam

Upon your early arrival at Arusha airport, you will connect to Kigoma from Arusha by flight. Get here early enough and transfer to your hotel to relax and in the afternoon, you have a trip to Ujiji Town and Livingstone Memorial. After your exploration, return to the hotel to chill, dine and spend a night at Kigoma Hilltop Hotel.

Day 2: Transfer from Dar-es-salaam to Gombe National Park

Day 2 of your 5 days Gombe chimpanzee trekking tour begins with breakfast and after, leave your hotel in Kigoma for Dhow boat transfer to Gombe National Park which takes you about 2 hours. Get to the park early to have lunch at your preferred lodge. Your afternoon will involve exploring the rainforest of Gombe National Park to trek chimpanzees. This is a thrilling foot experience and rewards trekkers with amazing sights not only chimpanzees but also different bird species and other primates like the red colobus monkeys, blue monkeys. Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking in Gombe National Park

Enjoy your cup of tea or coffee and after, start your trek to view chimpanzees in the rainforest of Gombe National Park. You will be briefed on dos and don’ts for chimpanzee trekking. After, begin your trek to see chimpanzees and exploring about their daily behaviours. Along the way, expect to also sight other primates like baboons, red colobus monkeys, bushbabies, blue monkeys and others. Dinner and overnight stay at Gombe Forest Lodge, Bandas.

Day 4: Second day of chimpanzee trekking in Gombe National Park

After you have had your cup of tea or coffee, you will once again get to the briefing point to be briefed on the set guidelines to be followed while on a trek to view chimpanzees. This will be your second day of chimpanzee trekking in Gombe National Park.
