Day 3: Gorilla tracking/excursion in Loango National Park

Day 3 of your 6 days Gabon gorilla tracking tour begins with an early morning breakfast and later, you will be transferred to the Max Planck Gorilla Habituation and Research Project. You will be briefed on the guidelines to be observed while on a search for western lowland gorillas and then an experienced pygmy master tracker will take you through the long day of exploring about the daily behaviors of these remarkable primates. Upon finding a family of western lowland gorillas, you are expected to keep a distance of about 10m away from these apes during the 1 hour of magical encounter which also includes taking pictures and learning more about their behaviors.

The length of the whole experience may differ depending on where these creatures will be but it is such a memorable experience. Later, you will pay a visit to Yatouga Base Camp the researchers camp by walking or take a boat along the lagoon.
