Detailed Travel Plan

Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe International Airport

Depending on the flight time from your home country, upon arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be welcomed by the primate safari experiences tour guide and transfer to your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. Dinner and overnight at Serena Hotel, Cassia Lodge or Lake Victoria hotel, Lake Heights Entebbe.

Note: in case you arrive at early time, you will go for a boat cruise on Lake Victoria for a fishing tour costing an extra fee of 300 USD/person.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale National Park

After early morning breakfast, Yu will set off from Kampala/ Entebbe at 6:30 am to enable you to arrive in Kibale forest national park for afternoon chimpanzee tracking. Lunch will be enjoyed at primate Lodge located near Kibale Forest park headquarter where briefing will be done and after enter into the jungle to search for the chimpanzees in their wilderness.  Once you have found the chimps, you will spend one hour with them and after return to the lodge to relax at the lodge enjoying the view of the tropical forests. Dinner and overnight as you Primates Lodge/ Kyaninga Lodge.

Day 3: Second chimpanzee Trekking & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Have breakfast early in the morning and then transfer to the headquarters for your briefing before setting off for a forest walk in search of chimpanzees. The forest walk is guided to give information not only on chimpanzees and primates but also on the small animal species which makes it so interesting.

After return to the lodge for lunch as you prepare to transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and on arrival, have a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel where you are to see many animals including; crocodiles, hippos, birds and many more. Dinner and overnight Mweya Safari Lodge / Kasenyi Safari Camp

Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After Early morning lion trekking experiential in queen Elizabeth national park in the kasenyi side, you will return to the lodge for breakfast and later drive to ishasha sector of the very park that is known for the tree-climbing lions, kobs, buffalos, water bucks, elephants, warthogs, lions, and many bird species and later proceed to buhoma sector of Bwindi National Park. Dinner and overnight at  Buhoma Lodge/ Mahogany springs/ Silverback Lodge

Day 5: Magic Gorilla trekking in the Mist of Bwindi

Have breakfast so early in the morning and then head to the park headquarters for briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. After, the rangers will lead you into the forest to start your track of these gentle giants. The beauty of spending time seeing the gorillas as they interact with each other is so great and so unforgettable.

You are usually given 1 hour seeing the interaction of these close relatives to humans. You are therefore advised top carry with you packed lunch and lots of water. After, you return to the lodge for lunch and then proceed to transfer to lake Bunyonyi where you will enjoy the relaxed night in Birdnest Resort lodge / Acardia Lodges Dinner and Overnight

Day 6: Transfer from Bwindi to Kampala

After the memorable gorilla trekking experience in the previous day, you will wake up early morning and do a simple boat cruise to visit the islands on lake bunyonyi , later have breakfast, start the drive to Kigali for the flight back to the home country.
