The Trip starts from Kampala Uganda and ends in Entebbe with a flight back home after the great memorable gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi & Mgahinga.
Day 1: Kampala-Bwindi gorillas in the mist
Have breakfast, after meeting our guide of primate safari experience will start to transfer you to southwestern Uganda, via Masaka-Mbarara high way with an unforgettable stopover at the Uganda equator for photographs, snacks, and informative talks. Lunch en-route at Agip motel. Thereafter drive to the Bwindi park via scenic undulating landforms, Ankole cattle, and winding banana plantations. Dinner and overnight at Rushaga Gorilla Camp / Gorilla Heights Lodge.Meals F/B
Day2: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi National Park
After morning breakfast at the lodge, the guide will transfer you to the park headquarter for briefing about the gorilla trekking rules and regulations in the wilderness of Bwindi impenetrable national park located in southwestern Uganda.
After entering into the forest to search for the shy primates in their mist. It is whole or half-day adventurous activity depending on the movement of the gorillas, when meeting them it is one hour allowed staying with the primates for the clients to enjoy those playing, take unforgettable photographs. After return to the lodge for Lunch, Spend the evening visiting the local communities around the park-like the typical Bakiga homes, local breweries, traditional healers, Batwa cultural performances, local schools and art, and craft shops. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight, Meal plan: F/B
Day3: Bwindi-Mgahinga Gorilla Park
After Early morning breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters in Mgahinga National Park for the second gorilla trekking in the Virunga Massif, later enter into the forest to search for the gorillas in the magic mgahinga and once found you will spend one hour with the gorillas. Later return to the park and proceed to GhingaLodge for lunch, Relax in the evening watching the Virunga Mountains. Dinner and overnight, Meal plan: F/B
Day4: Mgahinga hike & Batwa cultural trail
Breakfast, thereafter head to the Mgahinga Gorilla Park for briefing, and after go for the adventurous Gahinga volcano hiking. Lunch, thereafter visit the Batwa for cultural performances and learn more about their previous and current lifestyle. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight, Meal plan: F/B
Note: Mountain Gahinga which is as high as 3,474m. This hike takes about six hours to both ascend and descend, once at the top you will find the crater filled with swamp and giant lobelia. Those who are lucky will be able to see the golden monkeys as they walk through that thick bamboo forest. The hike was steep in places but not uncomfortably so and while it didn’t rain it get damp as the fog rolled in and out over the mountain. The scenery was both breathtaking and intriguing.
Day 5: Transfer from Mgahinga to Kigali
Walking up in a relaxed morning breakfast at the lodge, you will start to cross to Rwanda via Cyanika to start the drive to Kigali Rwanda the cleanest city in East Africa. Incase time allows you can go for city town to explore the beauty of Kigali. Lunch will be in the city and after drop off at the airport ( Meet & Greet to be done by our Partners: Akagera Civil Aviation)
