Detailed 5 Days Congo Gorilla Trekking Tour

Day 1: Drive to Goma

This is the first day of this trip and you will be picked up from Kigali
by our driver on the morning of this day. You will be driven to the
The southern town of Rwanda on the border with Congo called Gisenyi. You will
have your lunch here and some refreshments. Then you will head to the
border and complete the border crossing procedures and then cross to the
Congo side of Goma. You will go and check-in for dinner and overnight at
Lac Kivu lodge.Meals on F/B

Day 2:Mountain Gorilla Habituation in Virunga National Park

After an early breakfast, you will transfer to Bukima station for
briefing about Gorilla Trekking Rules and later proceed to the jungle
forest to search for the Most Endangered Species of Mountain
Gorillas with park rangers, the gorilla trekking safari activity takes
about 2-5 hours and once found you will be given 1 hour to take photos
and stay with the mountain gorillas in the wild as you watch them play
with the young ones and feeding, After return to the park
headquarters. Then you will be transferred back to your hotel for dinner
and overnight

Day 3:Relocate to Bukavu

After Morning breakfast, you will head to L.Kivu for your transfer to
Bukavu.You will either use the Ihusi public boat which charges $50 USD
or the private motor boat which charges $500 USD. Ther private boat
takes 2-3 hours yet the public Ihusi boat takes 5-6 hours(So you will
tell me which one you prefer).So you will transfer you to the southern
town of Congo
called Bukavu which is the proud home of lowland gorillas.The Drive on
Private Boat will take 2-3 Hours.You will head and check in for dinner
and
overnight at hotel Begonas.

Day 4: Lowland Gorilla Habituation in Kahuzi Biega National Park

Early morning after breakfast, take 1 and half hour drive to Kahuzi
Biega National Park for briefing about the dos and don’ts while on
eastern
lowland gorilla trekking in the jungle and after enter into the forest
to search for the primates and this activity can last for 2 -6 hours
depending on their movement, once found you will spend one hour with them
to allow you take photos and videos. After tracking. Return to the hotel
for dinner and overnight as above, the journey from Bukavu to Kahuzi
Biega
National park is 1& Half Hour drive.

Day 5: Transfer back to Kigali

On this day you will wake up very early in the morning and have your
breakfast.Then you will jump on to your safari jeep and be transfered to
the border at Cyangugu.You will complete the border crossing procedure
and
cross to Rwanda with stop to mirambi genocide site, some cultural
markets. You will reach
in the evening and you will be dropped at the airport for your check in
to
your flight to Nairobi and this will mark the end of mouth watering trip.
