Detailed Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Kigoma by Flight

Pick Up on arrival and transfer to Kigoma Hilltop Hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you will join our guide for an evening sightseeing including the tour to Ujiji town, Dr. Livingstone memorial. Others can opt for hiking, swimming, or snorkeling and later return to the hotel for Overnight.

Day 2 – Kigoma – Gombe National park – Chimpanzee Tracking

Morning departure after breakfast and transfer you to Gombe national park by boat. On arrival, you will do a morning game viewing and return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you will be briefed about the dos and don’ts while with the chimpanzee and you will join our rangers for another amazing chimpanzee tracking adventure after which you climb to the Kakombe waterfalls. Day 3 Chimpanzee Tracking in the forest

Breakfast at the Lodge Depart for morning Chimpanzee trekking, return to the Lodge for Lunch and in the afternoon at leisure go for birdlife as there is a great crossover of East African grassland birds and West African forest species. Gombe Stream National Park also offers great swimming and snorkeling opportunities on the shore of Lake Tanganyika. Dinner and Overnight at the lodge

Day 4 Chimpanzee Tracking in the forest

Enjoy your day in the park visiting Jane Goodall’s house, Jane Goodall was the primatologist who spent many years in its forests studying the behaviour of the endangered chimpanzees, Besides chimpanzee, many other species of primates live here, like Vervet, Colobus monkeys and Baboons, in addition to a wide variety of birdlife, like the majestic African fish eagle and in the afternoon go for swimming and relaxing in Lake Tanganyika. Day 5 Transfer to the Lake for boat departure to Kigoma

After breakfast, you will be picked up and taken by boat back to Kigoma town. Upon arrival, you will be picked up and driven to the airport for your flight back to Dar es Salaam where you will connect with your flight back home.
